Labelling & allergens
Lynas Foodservice Quality Manager continuously reviews and monitors all product labels to ensure they are fully compliant with legislation and are not misleading to the consumer. Products that are not correctly labelled will be rejected by our goods inwards department and returned to the supplier. Food safety is at the heart of our strategy along with quality, integrity and trust therefore we strive to ensure all our suppliers comply with all current legislation and best practices in product labelling.
The Quality Manager has implemented a Product Allergen Database which is continuously monitored and updated allowing our customers to have instant knowledge of or guidance to major allergen advice. This has proven to be of significant benefit to our customers in purchasing new innovative ingredients for their use. Detailed product specifications are available to all customers for all products supplied upon request.
