General Assistant - Lynas Food Outlet

Location: Cookstown, Northern Ireland
Hours: 8, 16 or 37.5 hours p/week*
Type: Permanent

* Shifts during trading hours. Monday — Friday: 8:30am-9pm, Saturday: 8:30am-6pm

Job Summary:

Lynas General Assistants will assist with the day-to-day running of the Food Outlet to ensure that sales and profit targets are met through effective stock control, sales promotion and cost control. They will work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service. 

Role Responsibilities :

  • Goods intake, putting away orders.

  • Stock replenishment and inventory taking.

  • Providing an excellent standard of customer service.

  • Assisting with customer needs and enquiries.

  • Date and temperature control of stock.

  • General housekeeping and maintaining excellent store presentation

Essential Criteria:

  • Be able to carry out manual handling duties, unloading pallets of products onto shelves.

  • Ability to work well in a team and use own initiative.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Willingness to operate in various temperature zones.

  • Must be able to adhere to Health & Safety procedures and promote the Health & Safety culture at the Food Outlet.

  • Computer Literate with experience of till duties.

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above

  • Experience in a food environment desirable
