Internal Sales Manager - Lynas Foodservice
Location: Coleraine, Northern Ireland
Hours: Full Time (40hrs, Monday — Friday, 9am - 5:30pm)
Pay: Attractive package depending on experience
Working alongside our Customer Service Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the sales performance of a team of approximately 30 office based sales staff. Our Internal Sales Representatives are based in our Coleraine Head Office and work hand-in-hand with our Field Sales teams to support over 6,000 customers across Ireland and Scotland. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator, motivator and strong, experienced leader. They will have significant office-based sales experience with a demonstrable record of achieving sales growth. They will have the character and competence needed to manage change and growth in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities Overview:
Driving and monitoring Internal Sales targets in conjunction with their Field Sales colleagues to achieve budget.
Leading growth of our online ordering platform – a vital aspect of our continuing growth strategy will be to facilitate easier online ordering across all customer sectors. This will be a key KPI for the post holder.
Monitoring and managing sales quotations prepared by Internal Sales staff – including taking responsibility for day-to-day pricing decisions.
Weekly promotions/focus weeks – communicating with buying teams and suppliers as required. Setting and monitoring targets.
Lead on a Category driven approach to sales – discovering gaps and addressing with Internal Sales and Field Sales staff.
Sales training and development of Internal Sales staff including 121 and group environments – new team members and existing staff.
Ensuring consistency of telephone service and promoting a healthy office culture.
Telecommunications software – monitor, assess and manage performance.
Ensure effective use of our internal software systems to identify and address product or customer lost sales.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial internal/office-based sales role. This should be within the FMCG sector and include involvement in online platforms.
Computer literate – very comfortable using the whole Microsoft Suite and able to demonstrate the ability to adapt to new computer systems.
Good to excellent level of competence with Microsoft Excel.
Experience within the Food Service sector.
Strong experience in the area of online sales.
Experience leading change – both process and culture.
Degree educated – Sales, marketing or Food Service-related degree.
