You will want to create an easy and simplified menu for you, your staff and your customers. It needs to be easy and affordable plus remember it must travel well in food to go packaging and containers. Ensure that your menu is priced correctly and that text is easily read.

Think about how your customer’s orders will arrive to them. How will the food be after transportation and what containers will you use to make this happen. You may need containers, cutlery, napkins, wrapping paper, paper bags and cups. Plus don’t forget that your delivery drivers should wear gloves and change pairs between customer deliveries.

Make life easy for your customers so that your ordering system as simple to use as possible. This could be a telephone number with your menu typed on a Facebook post or on your website through to making an online ordering system. Know your customer base and what appeals to them most. Even set up a text message ordering system in a short and specific time window.  

Time To Grow

By diversifying your business and adding take out and delivery options, you can grow awareness of your business to people that may not currently buy from you. Consider branding your take out bags with a simple stamp or sticker and promote on your social media platforms and website.
