Vehicle Co-ordinator

Location: Coleraine
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
Pay: Negotiable dependant on experience

Job summary:

The successful applicant will work as part of the transport team and be the first point of contact for the maintenance of a fleet of around 70 vehicles to include vans and lorries.  

They will be responsible for co-ordinating and organising the vehicles to ensure the fleet is compliant, kept clean and in a serviceable condition.

The successful candidate will also have excellent organisational skills and strong I.T skills with particular competence with Microsoft Excel.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Using Lynas I.T systems and Microsoft Office packages

  • Maintaining and updating the Bluetree tracking system

  • Being the first point of contact for vehicle defects and arranging corrective action

  • Overseeing vehicle breakdowns & repairs

  • Vehicle Allocation

  • Scheduled vehicle maintenance

  • Accident reporting

  • Managing lorry housekeeping

  • Report writing

Essential criteria:

  • IT Literate in all Microsoft package to include Word and Excel

  • Category C licence, CPC and Digi card or working towards

  • Attention to detail, punctuality and confident communicator

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Ability to take a hands-on approach

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a logistics environment with a hands-on approach to vehicles.
