Maintenance Technician

Location: Coleraine, Northern Ireland
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (on call & weekend hours also included)
Type: Permanent Contract

Salary: Dependant on experience

The successful applicant will be required to help maintain the companies high speed conveyor systems and all other mechanical machinery on site and across all Lynas locations in NI & ROI.

The successful applicant will provide reports to managers and be able to liaise with suppliers and senior managers to provide updates and solutions to problems.

There will be a requirement to upgrade and find continuous improvements throughout the company’s automation system and machinery.  

Duties include:

  • Stock controlHelp to source and control critical & recommended spare parts.

  • Working within budgets.

  • Reactive maintenance.

  • Planned preventative maintenance.

  • General upgrades.

  • Maintaining: critical operational equipment and systems throughout the business.

  • Carry out daily maintenance activities within the Lynas facilities.

  • Work alongside and assist current maintenance team.

  • Fault finding / problem solving for equipment breakdown.

  • Make improvements and repairs on sortation system to reduce unplanned downtime.

 

The successful applicant will have on-call duties and will be required to work some weekends on an on-call basis.

 

Skills

 

Essential technical Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent – Maintenance / Automation.

  • 4 years working experience with the Casi system.

  • Ability to find faults and provide solutions to the Casi system.

  • Full clean driver’s license.

  • Must be computer literate and a competent user of Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desirable skills

  • Experience of automation & the mechanics behind it.

  • Strong mechanical understanding of Shafts, Bearings and Automation e.g. conveyor belts

  • Experience in panel building
